We recently had a 2004 Cummins come into Solar Shade to be put under the knife. Thanks to Full Throttle Suspension, Wheel Pros, ProComp, and BD Diesel we were able to make this work. It started with a 6 inch long arm lift with remote reservoir shocks in the rear. Then he decided to do a BD Diesel manifold while we had the truck. With the 20X10 wheels we could fit 37 by 13.5 inch wide Mud Grappler tires with no rub. The added traction bars in the rear made this truck look above and beyond what we all expected. The dual Bilstein steering stabilizers added a much needed touch to the front end. Let us know what you think …...

He plans to do performance mods towards the end of the summer. In other words this isn’t the last you will see of this beast! Some of the ideas being tossed around include head studs, Air Dog, turbo back exhaust, and potentially even a turbo upgrade. In the end its not all about the money, its about the passion owners have for their rides!

May Is Skin Cancer Awareness Month

Skin cancer is the most common form of cancer in the United States with 3.5 million cases diagnosed annually. For years, dermatologists have observed that patients in the US often have more sun damage on the left side of their face. Why? Research increasingly points to ultraviolet A radiation penetrating through car windows as the leading cause. Most people don't realize that harmful ultraviolet rays pass through their automotive glass.

Formula One window film blocks 99% or better of the sun's cancer causing UV rays. However, only 2 out of 10 vehicles in the US have UV protection films, whereas in most Asian countries 9 out of 10 are protected. Formula One window films is in partnership with The Skin Cancer foundation to help raise awareness.

Out of Body Experience

We decided that a 08 Ford F-350 already with a Mini Maxx tuner, S+B intake Dry filter kit, and 5” stainless exhaust, and an Air Dog II with a 6.4L powerstroke needed some more shiny bits on it. So, Rob decided his truck would be the candidate for the challenge. We did stainless exhaust manifolds, and stainless up pipes courtesy of River City Diesel. BD Diesel provides a nice TIAL BOV kit with charge tubing, which sounded about right for this. Sinister diesel had a nice EGR delete kit to help with the build, along with ARP head-studs made this even more exciting. Track bars are in the works for the stock ride height Fords.

All-in-all it wasn’t a matter of making much more power, it was modifications to pro-long the life of the powerstroke. The cab-off process was an awesome thing to watch and be a part of, it’s a must for diesel performance and service anymore in the industry and we are proud to say we can do that. We also replaced the radiator hoses with the dual O-ring replacements to prevent leaking of coolant.

Rob has future plans such as turbo upgrades as well as some nitrous in the mix. In other words the cab will come off again except next time there will be a huge increase in the power levels!!
